Properties and application of spandex filament
A certain tension must be controlled in the process of wrapping. It is recommended to control
the draft ratio of melt spun spandex between 2.8-3.6. In this range, the plasticity of spandex is
smaller, the tension is appropriate, the wrapping is more convenient and the elasticity is
uniform; when the draft ratio is less than 2.8,When the draft ratio is greater than 3.6, the plastic
deformation of spandex yarn is large, and the broken ends will increase. The elastic recovery
rate of the coated yarn will decrease a little; 3.8 draft can be used by users. Generally not
recommended.Mainly used in woolen sweater, socks and gloves.
the dry heat resistance of melt spun spandex yarn reaches 130 ºC for 15 minutes, and the
user's normal use temperature should be 120 ºC. Do not use for fabrics with dyeing set
temperature higher than 130 ºC.
when dyeing, please select neutral dyes and other dyes suitable for melt spinning spandex.

(1) conventional spandex yarn: it is a new type of fiber with many excellent textile properties. It

(2) chlorine resistant spandex yarn: it has the physical property of conventional yarn, and the
chlorine resistant property is more than 10 times that of other spandex yarn. It overcomes the
disadvantages of conventional yarn such as being vulnerable to erosion, yellowing and strength
reduction in active chlorine water. It is suitable for swimwear
(3) lustrous spandex yarn: it can keep the physical properties of ordinary silk and has good
lustrous transparency, which greatly improves the dyeing property of spandex fabric. It is

(4) special woven yarn: in order to meet the needs of interweaving with polyester, the high
temperature resistance of spandex fiber is improved, and the drafting performance of spandex

made into fine spandex yarn, which is core wrapped and widely used in weaving and knitting
